it’s not that i dun like food it’s just that eating that early in the morning is umm a bit too heavy for my daily intake.
i enjoy reading the blogs and i love the pictures.

i had a piece of the new pizza hut cheesy bites pizza
it was good!
i had that in my room on my bed. now my room still has the cheesy smell. =]
May 26, 2008 at 10:09 am
had a piece of cheesy pizza rite in the morning? wow…it would be too heavy for me. My stomach is already overloaded by my “stream” of coffee and sometimes wine, hehe.
yet..if a new day is started by cheesy smell is not bad…wondering where you from? are you from Hong Kong?
May 26, 2008 at 8:16 pm
yup i’m from hong kong.
asian gang yay! =]
i love the caramel macchiato from starbucks when it comes to coffee.
what you have wine for breakfast or you drank the night before? lol
i’m kinda curious bout the people who sound like reporters here.
are they really reporters from magazines?

May 27, 2008 at 6:55 am

ooh btw..i like black coffee but caramel macchiato is tempting too
May 27, 2008 at 7:18 pm
my skool girl story? haha does it has to be about food and meals and breakfasts?
i’m currently having my very long summer now.
i’m trying to get into a united world college at this moment for my two college years
but i’m fine with local colleges as well.
you knw what i just turned 17 in may. =] guess i’m pretty green huh?
wow black coffee is a lil too “original” for me.
i enjoy the taste of milk and sugar so yea =]
speaking of starbucks green tea frappe is one of my favourites as well.
i would grab one before i go to skool in the morning and finish it before i get to skool.
i guess i am pretty into sweet stuff. =P and cold stuff as well lol
so cally, what do you do? =]
i like talking to you your such a nice person.
take care. <3
May 29, 2008 at 2:04 am
if i were you, will not stay at local colleges….nothing better than fly away to see more and experience more..but this is only my own idea..hehe
and yes i am a freelance writer too..and why not take your time in loooooooong summer holiday to write sth for us? but yes, got to be started from breakfast…how breakfast related to your own life? or yourself? why you always going to Starbucks instead of staying at home? what is home to you? maybe a boring question…but maybe a interesting start for a story
May 29, 2008 at 1:33 pm
haha yea maybe i’ll try writing that in the comment areas and see if it will be posted in the blog.
i dun get the whole contributor thing =P
yea i knw we have to explore the world and always be ready and open to new things and of course i would love to go to some other kinda skools but the local ones
i notice that locals skools are too exam oriented and i dun see how the students care about the world or simply the things around ‘em just because they are preoccupied with the books and exams. that’s sad. what’s different in a united world college is that the students there care a lot about world issues and they would react promptly with concrete actions.
they have a network on the wordpress as well in which they report the latest world issues and things happened in the campus. from all 14 united world colleges around the world, tho i’m only applying for the hong kong one.
i find the students there much maturer than the local skool’s ones. the way they think and the way they act reflects the learning environment and the education values that the college upholds. i love associating with some of them. we share our views on the latest political issues or just simply our opinions about the local “nerds”. i would talk about it as a person who belong to the local gangs but not a nerd and they will talk bout it as foreigners being exposed to the upsetting phenomenon of the local education system.
i dun get to do the same thing in my skool! for god’s sake all they care are their results but they simply miss out so much more about life and about the real learning process.
i have to beg people to join one bloody hell small inter-class debate competition!! but i do respect that we all have different degree of interests in different things. but i certainly think that we should not limit ourselves to what the society have set for us.
like it’d be better if they spend more time in their revisions so they can get into good universities rather than developing their other abilities thru ECAs so they can deal with challenges after graduation.
on the other hand, the international students show much more involvement in the skool and are much more open to new things not necessarily sexual as most people assume they are. and i definitely hate some hk “international” skools who claim that they are “international” just becoz of the racial variety and the exam system they take. it’s much more than that. international education actually means to teach students to care about the world and the respect for different cultures so we can live in ONE world etc.
but my plan is that if i get into LPCUWC, then i will prolly have more choices of universities like whether to stay in hk or go overseas for my tertiary edu. but if i’m going to a local skool, i’d probably be limited to the local universities but i guess it isn’t that bad coz local Us aren’t that bad after all especially the one i like which is HKU. =] but i would definitely lose the chance to mature myself within the two precious college years to the farthest extent and to further develop my potential to be the world leading generation. and i might end up being one of the youngsters who are just trying to fit in.
how do i make dr codrington, the principal of LPC, knows what i really think? i din’t get to say that in the last interview i had. =[
i guess i've said too much. =P haha sorry
well your job sounds really cool. a writer wow and the word freelance just upgraded its coolness! hehe
too bad i can't write well, neither in chinese or english, or i'll have many more ways out in the future!
do you think i think too much? i bet you do.
well i'll stop here. it's swell talking to you! =]
take care and have a nice day!!
ps i brag a lot. i mean A LOT. =]

For admitting HKU or other local universities through non-jupas method upholding IB or GCSE results, you face a challenge that local universities are indeed, damn exam results oriented. It’s undeniable that the standard of HKCEE and HKAL made local students more skillful in certain area than those taking IB or GCE, like the case of HKAL Pure Maths inc. some bachelor level stuffs. But does challenge make one maturer, it’s highly questionable, and this notion of “mature” is way too simplistic.
My brother obtained 6As in HKCEE and admitted CUHK right after F.6. That two college years, in some sense honeymoon or hell to me, is more bloody exam-oriented than HKCEE, as your only way out, right here right now or in the past, to get into the university. Drop outs like me mostly wasted some two years in Higher Diploma or Associate Degree for another chance getting into universities. So, he won’t care.
Getting what education would not bother one eager to learn and will to learn, but some education would discourage one to take learning as task to kill. Keep writing and thinking, and you may start reforming and re-organizing your life through examining your body, your stomach. Why one would like sweet and cold? You could explain that by biological, psychological, cultural, blahblahblah means. What lies behind Starbucks, which starts from scratch in Seattle? Extending from sidekicks around yourself, you can rethink life, universe, and everything XD
Final words, you see, my life sucks. Messy, chaotic, somehow bizarre but beautiful if you enjoy it.

hey Theresa,
like hearing from you, wish you can take some time to write us more about your daily life..i was a member of debate team at school too..it was fun and learn alot in doing research and presentation, how about you? had good time in debate team? can you speak Cantonese?
i joined the Cantonese debate team only.
and also pls don’t “fancy” on freelacer writer, it simply means:
not stable income+long looooooooong working hrs
cheers
June 3, 2008 at 4:04 am
haha i’ll reply to cally first.
yea i do speak cantonese i speak mandarin and english as well duh~~ lol
i’m thinking of taking either french or german in summer. you know those summer intensive courses lol
i tried debating in chinese when i was in form 1.
it was fun at first but then i prefer the parliamentary english debate
i especially enjoy the IHT Debate held months ago at german swiss
my skool got into the semi-final but then lost to QC. dammit haha
gosh i love debating.
so what you do is you write for the magazines on interviews and stuff? or you write fictions?
June 3, 2008 at 4:20 am
galileo,
yea i know i am actually taking the 2008 HKCEE and well it’s not difficult but i ain’t good enuf to score straight As.
let’s say i dun enjoy being in a classroom full of people who only care about their results but the things happening around em.
i enjoy associating with people who care about world issues, who like engaging in like policy debate and stuff. who would keep themselves alert of the burmese, darfur and chinese human rights problems stuff like that.
yea i know it sounds boring but i am NOT a nerd haha
let’s say i go to a local skool for Alevels then i would have no choice but to study my ass out coz its the only way out according to you, which i agree.
but if i go to an IB skool especially LPC which is famous for its world-issues conscious environment, studying my ass out will not be the only narrow road i can go. i’m not only taking the academic knowledges but all the other skills necessary to shape me into a world leader. maybe one day i will get into UNO haha who knows. umm i’m just making an assumption.
and the students in LPC are basically the top students in hk
so i regarding getting into it is an upgrade of my present skooling situation, not that my skool isn’t good enuf for me of coz not i am not the top student in my old skool.
but anyway i will do just fine if i’m taking alevels, i hope.
i do have a goal for my tertiary education but i’m told not to limit myself into one option so i’ll see.
now i’m just gonna make the best outta this very long summer vacation! =]
any suggestions of what to do? should i work or should i take courses or just chill out for three months?
i reckon i’m travelling with my parents in june. hopefully i’m going to dubai =P
i’ll let you guyz know when the trip’s confirmed.
take care y’all! <3
June 4, 2008 at 10:05 pm
Way too out. I knew guys in YC and LPC, somehow they don’t look more sensitive to global issues. Don’t simply ‘buy’ their image as it really relies on yourself.
freelacer writer, it simply means: not stable income+long looooooooong working hrs. Damn true, as my family situation grow worse, I am now forced to shift back to full-time … yet I still have to clear some articles for food and culture magazine!
My brother wrote something in HKET on how to spend summer holiday: http://newhongkonger.blogspot.com/2008/05/blog-post_30.html . Well, chill it out. You don’t have many summer holidays.
Planning to further study Latin this Dec, as in my ‘workplace’ I might need to deal with that.
June 6, 2008 at 11:25 am
yea i know galileo
but i’ve also had some really good encounters and i’m sure that a lotta students in the skool are sensitive to world issues.
oh yea btw i got accepted!!! yay!!
my parent had mailed back the registration fees and a confirmation that i would accept the offer and hopefull i’ll receive the questionnaire which is used to allocate me to rooms soon.
those overseas students have got a package from lpc with loads of forms haha but i only got three pieces of paper so far
we’ve got a group on facebook name li po chun united world college 2008-2010. feel free to check it out. you may add me on facebook as well. =]
is it that “bad” to work as a full-time writer?
how did you get into this business? juz simple applied for a job to the publishing company or what?
thanks for the blog i’ll check that out later. now it’s time for dinner =]
see ya.
ps latin sounds great. lemme know if your really learning it.
